It's a pleasure to welcome you to AMSANT's new web-site and I encourage you to explore its content to learn more about Aboriginal community controlled health services in the Northern Territory.

AMSANT is proud of the great clinical work that is happening every day at our 26 Member Services across the NT and we are committed to supporting and strengthening those services and their delivery of primary health care to Aboriginal people.

Aboriginal community control has proved to be the most effective way of providing comprehensive primary health care. AMSANT continues to lobby governments and advocate through the media for increased capacity and improved resources to enable our people to live longer, live better and live happier.

Mission Statement

AMSANT is the peak body for Aboriginal community controlled health services in the NT and advocates for the provision of high quality primary health care services in accordance with the health needs in Aboriginal communities. Through its member organisations and the communities they represent, AMSANT seeks to build strong and viable capacity for the provision of effective health services.

Vision Statement

Aboriginal community controlled health services in the Northern Territory will be independent and successful organisations, integrated into the NT health system, to provide high quality and effective primary health care services that are responsive to the needs of the community.
